Routine tasks

• Clean contact points, tables, high chairs, changing stations and materials according to the centre’s protocol. Disinfect where required. During an outbreak, follow guidance from the authorities and healthcare leads.

• Floors: as children play on them, remove debris and leave them clean and dry. A two-bucket system can help separate clean and dirty water, but the result depends on the full procedure and does not guarantee total disinfection.

• Ventilation: renew the air according to the centre’s plan and maintain equipment properly. Do not replace ventilation with ozone treatment.

• Windows: schedule glass and shutter cleaning with safe access and without exposing children to the work.

• Washrooms and changing areas: use separate equipment, remove dirt and apply the agreed disinfection protocol.

• Kitchen and dining areas: follow the centre’s food hygiene plan, with separate equipment and products suitable for food-contact surfaces.
