How to choose a cleaning company

Looking for a Cleaning company and unsure what to compare? This guide covers scope, quotations, organisation and equipment to review before hiring.

Checking information online

Review the website, contact details and feedback critically. Look for service information and examples relevant to your type of premises.

Presentation helps assess communication, but also check documentation and service conditions.

No-obligation quotation

Request a proposal specifying duties, frequency, hours, materials, exclusions and price. Arrange a site visit where needed to assess actual conditions.

At ALFHAM we listen to your requirements to define a plan with a clear scope.

Company size and capacity

Company size alone does not guarantee quality or price. Assess its ability to serve your site, supervise work and provide replacement cover.

References and recommendations

Recommendations can help, especially from sites similar to yours. Consider service scope and context before drawing conclusions from a single observation.

Demonstrable experience

Ask about experience relevant to your requirements. Delicate treatments and difficult access need knowledge, equipment and specific planning.

Ask ALFHAM about services for offices, residential communities, educational premises and other Barcelona facilities. Each project’s scope should be specified in the proposal.

Methods, staff and equipment

Review training, products and planned equipment. For work involving specific risks, such asexternal façade cleaning and Windows, a risk assessment and equipment and training suited to the specific task are required.

Services

A broad catalogue does not replace experience relevant to your site. Define cleaning requirements for offices, schools, gyms, communities or shared areas and request a detailed proposal.

Environmental management

Consider dosing, water use, waste handling and product selection. Environmental claims should be based on specific measures and documentation.

If you need a cleaning company in Barcelona, contact ALFHAM to assess your premises and prepare a proposal.
