Retail premises and communal areas
A unit within a shopping centre may share communal-area security while needing specific cover in its own space. Clarify what building management covers and what belongs to your premises. This avoids quoting for unrelated areas or leaving needs undescribed.
Opening, closing and footfall
Indicate operating periods and changes in footfall. Cover is assessed according to how the space is used and the guarding requirement described. Extended retail hours or specific periods should be identified to assess arrangements.
Separation of duties
Visitor information, directions to shops and other support tasks may belong to a support role. Security guarding is defined separately with appropriate personnel. Explaining the purpose of hiring helps direct the enquiry to the right service.

Questions about this service
Does the centre's general security automatically cover my unit?
Do not assume this. Check the existing scope with centre management and describe the additional requirement you want assessed.
Can information staff replace a security guard?
These are different roles. Identify the duties you need and assess support and security tasks separately.
