Some cleaning habits waste time or damage materials. Here are common mistakes and how to correct them.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Not planning floor cleaning<\/h2>\n

Remove rubbish and coarse debris first without raising dust. Then clean surfaces from top to bottom and leave the final floor wash until last, to remove anything that has fallen.<\/p>\n

Working without an order<\/h2>\n

Work from higher to lower areas and from cleaner to dirtier zones. Change cloths or water as needed to avoid spreading dirt again.<\/p>\n

Using the same equipment everywhere<\/h2>\n

Keep bathroom and kitchen equipment separate. Choose a compatible product for each surface: wood, marble and other delicate finishes need specific care. An all-purpose cleaner is not suitable for every material.<\/p>\n

Trying to do everything in one day<\/h2>\n

Spread tasks across a realistic schedule. Combine routine care with periodic work so each area gets the attention it needs.<\/p>\n

Leaving unnecessary moisture<\/h2>\n

Excess moisture can leave marks or damage some finishes. Remove it where the procedure calls for this, while first allowing any required product contact time.<\/p>\n

Applying products without reading the label<\/h2>\n

Always read the instructions: some products go on the cloth, others directly on the surface. Follow dosage, compatibility and application time. Never spray electrical equipment.<\/p>\n

Cleaning glass in direct sunlight<\/h2>\n

Direct sunlight and heat can dry the cleaner too quickly and leave marks. Where possible, choose a time when the glass is shaded and moderately cool.<\/p>\n

Forgetting the keyboard<\/h2>\n

Keyboards collect dust and debris. Disconnect the equipment and follow the manufacturer’s cleaning procedure. Do not pour liquids onto it or use disinfectants without checking compatibility.<\/p>\n

Applying acids to marble<\/h2>\n

Vinegar and lemon can etch marble. Baking soda is not an acid, but may still be unsuitable as an abrasive. Use a stone-compatible cleaner and avoid untested homemade treatments.<\/p>\n
