A sofa is one of the most-used pieces of furniture at home, including by children and pets. Caring for it means including sofa cleaning<\/a> in your routine, using a method compatible with the upholstery and filling.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"sofa<\/a><\/p>\n

Dust, crumbs and pet hair build up with use. Regular cleaning helps maintain the sofa, with frequency depending on use and care instructions.<\/p>\n

Upholstery and filling can also retain odours. Ventilating the room and removing dirt without soaking materials helps prevent moisture making the problem worse.<\/p>\n

Vacuuming<\/h2>\n

Vacuum using the upholstery attachment and a setting permitted by the manufacturer. Remove loose cushions where possible and clean accessible seams without stressing the fibres.<\/p>\n

For leather or delicate fabrics, follow the specific care procedure and avoid attachments that may scratch.<\/p>\n

Cleaning the fabric<\/h2>\n

Check the upholstery cleaning code before using water or products. Test discreetly and apply only a compatible treatment without saturating the filling. Do not use a homemade ammonia mixture. Allow complete drying before using the sofa.<\/p>\n
